Microsoft SharePoint is a Web application platform developed by Microsoft. The web tools which are designed for the purpose of non-technical users so they can easily Use them. SharePoint
can be used to provide intranet portals, document and file management, collaboration, social networks, extranets, websites, enterprise search and business intelligence. It also offers system integration, process integration and workflow
automation capabilities.

SharePoint Portal is a suite of Microsoft applications that allow users to share information and collaborate on the Internet. Using this you can host the web
sites that access shared workspaces and documents. Its architecture and Web Part components determine how a site appears and manages all browser functions. Each portal site consists of reusable and customizable Web Parts that determine
how information is presented.
